Model posing for the World Cup in Russia 2018Commenced in the 1930s World Cup has been a very affluent and prominent competition in the football community. It is contested by the member countries of FIFA, which is a universal sport’s governing and overseeing body. With the previous victory of Germany in the World Cup 2014, the trophy is up for grabs again for the World Cup in Russia. About the World Cup - Russia

Talking about the event, we are extremely thrilled to announce that the tournament will be taking place in the biggest stadium in Russia. The opening ceremony, several matches including the final, will take place in Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow. This humongous stadium houses 81,000 vacancies which make it the largest stadium in Russia. The opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup in Russia will be held on 14th June at 2 p.m. BST. The entire ceremony will be streamed live so you will not miss a thing. The performers who will be adorning the opening ceremony have not been revealed yet. However, there is an estimate of over 50 VIP performers who will be dazzling the opening ceremony. Nobody can forget when Shakira lit the stage with her “Waka Waka” or when Pitbull and Jennifer Lopez took the stage with their football anthem to honor Brazil. This year’s football anthem is much celebrated too. We’re sure that you and your elite model will never forget this extravagant experience.

The entire tournament is more than just a contest. It is a celebration of unity and togetherness amongst the worshippers of football. It is like a festival of massive popularity and viewership. In case you’ll be witnessing the event in the stadium then read along for a complete guide. However, if you cannot make it to Russia then don’t be saddened by it. The event will be streamed live on several television channels and online sites. To my experience and knowledge, the best streaming will happen at the major sport channels with many highlights to show live and after each match so stay updated with that as well.

Cover the Basics for the World Cup in Russia for a Date-Friendly Trip

The basic aspect that should be covered while planning your trip with your companion to Russia is your passport and visa. Now you might be wondering that this is a very tedious task to accomplish. In all honesty you are not wrong; the Russian procedure for tourist visa is very hectic and mind-bending. There are the following three ways you can proceed with this:

1. Your Ticket to the World Cup in Russia will work as your Fan ID:

Getting a visa for Russia is not a cakewalk. However there is a relieving news for you: If you have your tickets to the World Cup in Russia you will not face a great deal of difficulty as it will act as your Fan ID.  Your Fan ID is a document stemmed from your world cup tickets that will allow you to enter the country without applying for a visa. However, It will be valid only between 4th June and 25th July. Great thing about Fan ID is that it lets you avail the perks of not bearing your own transportation on the days of the actual games. It will also act as your visa from multiple entries/exits to/from Russia. In case you don’t have a ticket/s to the game then we’re afraid you’re not eligible for a Fan ID. That is why we urge you to book the tournament tickets for you and your model beforehand.

2) Apply for a Visa for Russia:

In the absence of the World Cup tickets you have to apply for Russian Visa via a standard procedure. This includes initiating the process at least a month before the actual world cup. It is advisable to apply for the process immediately after you have booked the flight. You might be able to get hooked with a few services that can assist you with the process. However this can possibly burn a hole in your pocket but we guess it will be worth it if you want to sweep your beautiful date right off her knees.

3) Get Help of a Tour Company:

You also have an option to use the services of a tour company. The advantage of this will be that they will carry out all the strenuous tasks for you or will at least assist you through to the end. Also the tour company can fix you with a few great romantic date places in Russia. You can spend a relaxed and hassle-free trip with your elite lady. Please note that it is advisable that you obtain your tickets from the official website and do not go for locals who are illegally obtaining and selling those tickets.

Accommodation and Transportation with Your Date for This Year’s World Cup in Russia

There are a few things mentioned below you need to know for a smoother accommodation and transport while in Russia:

·     Book a Good Hotel in Advance:

If you don’t want to miss out on a comforting and reasonably priced hotel with your date then we advise you to book a decent and certified hotel at least a week prior to arriving in Russia. There are several hotel booking apps perfect for accommodating two people and we highly recommend that you plan this step out carefully. By doing this, your date will be extremely impressed with your diligence and smart planning. It is also necessary for you to do so in case you could not issue a Fan ID. Since the general application for Visa contains a mandatory invitation from the hotel you’ll be accommodating in.

·     Avoid Public Transport and Prefer Well-known Car Hire Services:

As for traveling, in case you are functioning on your Fan ID, then all the transportation of arriving at the venue on the game day will be born by your ticket itself. So you enjoy those little rides across the city with your date for free. In case, you do not have a Fan ID, you can download applications like Uber and Yandex in your smartphone. It is better if you steer clear of all the unauthorized taxis. Public transport, except Metro could get you stuck on a jam-packed road. As for covering long distances trains are your best bet and not to forget they are extremely romantic too. Apart from trains you can arrange for a car and make a little road trip of it. Now, who does not love a good road trip? You will get to spend some quality time while enjoying the Russian roads.

Some DOs and DON’Ts - Dating Edition

Dos:

1) The initial “do” we would like to mention is keeping your medical prescription in case you’re carrying medicines with you. Make sure you and your girlfriend both have a translated version of it too as you must declare it at the boarder entering Russia.

2) The second “do” is to respect the heritage and culture of Russia in case you don’t want to attract any troubles on your trip and ruin your date night.

3) Carry your passport wherever you go. Russian Police can stop you at any point and ask for identification and verification which is when you need to produce relevant documents. So pack your visa and passport carefully along with your date’s documents.

4) In case you lose your Fan ID you need to immediately issue a duplicate ID as it will act as your visa and it is an extremely crucial document.

5) Be vigilant while walking or traveling on a vehicle to avoid problems with your bags. Especially take care of your lady if you want to be registered as her Prince Charming.

Don’ts:

1) Now for some don’ts, do not go out with people you’ve just randomly met. Especially avoid over crowded clubs and alcohol indulgence. On the flip side, you can buy some expensive liquor and enjoy it with your companion in the privacy of your hotel suite or private residence.

2) Do not carry a large sum of money while you’re out on the road. Moscow is a very safe city and it's very well protected from the local authorities, but try to escape big crowds especially after a match tournament.

Final Thoughts:

We hope that we have covered all the points you need to know to witness the such an important sport event both from the comfort of your living room and amongst the roar of a massive number of spectators in the stadium. We hope you enjoy this year’s tournament and fall even harder with your date on this wondrous trip.
